Jerry Jeudy’s name is back in the deadline conversation, but the signal from Cleveland is mixed: Adam Schefter says the Browns receiver “could be had,” while local reporting says the team has no plans to trade him. That is a possible-market story, not evidence that a deal is being negotiated.
The case for a call is clear enough. Rookies Denzel Boston and K.C. Concepcion have seized major roles, and Jeudy’s workload dipped to 24 offensive snaps against Pittsburgh. But he made three catches for 36 yards in that 27-24 win, including key grabs on the game-winning drive. For a 3-1 team, a veteran who can still deliver in a high-leverage moment is more than a line on a depth chart.
Contract structure may make him easier for a buyer to consider than the headline value suggests: reports put his base salary at $1.5 million, with the larger 2027 commitment not guaranteed. That could widen the pool of interested contenders, but it does not establish Cleveland’s asking price—or mean any club has made an offer.
The Browns’ decision may hinge on what they value more as the Nov. 10 deadline approaches: converting a crowded receiver room into draft capital, or keeping experienced insurance behind two rookie starters. Until there’s reporting of a real offer or active talks, Jeudy is a name to monitor, not a player on the way out.
